Ive heard that with wfp sytem cleaning the windows stay cleaner longer,is this true?

Could you imagine what would happen if it did im sure some customers would say to start coming every 6 weeks maybe because they are staying cleaner longer?

Yep! Its only because the old window cleaners used Fairy and that contains lanolin to keep the housewife's hands soft (hands that do dishes can be soft as your face) and a polishing agent usually described as surfacer which makes the dishes look shiney. Shiney dishes look cleaner in most people's mind.
Both of these leave residues on the glass that is slightly sticky and attracts the dirt. WFP leaves no residues and the glass stays cleaner a lot longer.
You can use it as a selling feature and tell the housewives the naughty little trad window cleaners know what fairy does to the windows. Tut tut.

my work is split 2 and 4 weekly always keep on top of 2 weekly and let the 4 slide behind so customers dont notice they look alright after 3 week and go monthly ;D

i use wfp, windows are definetly staying cleaner no probs with custys never had anyone change frequency because of wfp

I understand the reason behind the claim but for the obvious reasons mentioned I don't sell it that way any more.
In the two years of using WFP, I've not had any extend the time between visits because of them staying clean longer but I have had plenty say that they seem to stay clean longer.
Where I really notice it is with white UPVC frames. I have customers whose frames were filthy on every visit even though I cleaned them every time. Now often the frames still look like I've just dome them when I turn up.
I've also had many say that though they were more than satisfied with my work prior to WFP the windows appear cleaner since I've been using it. I've also gained a lot of work directly as a result of using it.

When I first started on WFP I got quite worried because a number of my customers started saying "I don't really think they need doing again yet" when I went back. All my customers now are 6 or 8 weeks. Very few at 4 weeks.

Yep, I've got customers who say the windows stay cleaner for longer. Some have changed from 4 to 8 weekly cleans. If they change its an extra £2.
When quoting I give them a 4 and 8 weekly price ( 8 weekly is £2 more than the £4 )

Who mentioned birds fouling windows? That's obvious, thus not mentioned.
Yes I charge more for 8 weekly cleans... Takes a little longer and more water, so what's the problem ?
And I don't use 'stays cleaner for longer' as a selling point and I haven't said I have either. Read my first post again until clicks. If it doesn't... Feel free to email me and ill explain what I said so its simpler for you to understand.

SFWC..........it is in fact very true,whether you like it or not. Just like gg3 keeps the windows cleaner for longer. I've used fairy trad,gg3 trad AND WFP,so i think i can comment on this. Yes,a crap's a crap,but the original thread wasn't about birds backfiring. :)

Its that obvious that no one need mention it. People know bird poo is bird poo and what a mess it makes. What this thread is about is the difference between trad and wfp

glass defo stays cleaner for longer with WFP and yes I have had customers who have gone from 4 weeks to 8 weeks because of this very reason, they actually told me they noticed this as I sure didn't mention it to them.
thats where WFP is a victim of its own success

First reply was in moderator mode.
But yes, I do think windows stay cleaner longer, no residue left behind for minute dust particles to adhere too. So it does make a difference...not really sure how big a difference though, if customers want their windows to stay clean then they still need to have them done regularly, even after a month there is still a build up of grime on the windows, it is just a little less than before.
The weather conditions also play a huge part too, very wet and windy weather and the windows will get grimy just as quickly.
Location also plays it's part, a house surrounded by trees or close to water (especially right on the coast) or houses right by the side of main roads or close to bridges...well, there are plenty of situations where WFP or trad will make little difference.
But I most certainly do agree that windows cleaned with WFP, in good conditions will stay cleaner longer.

Its no problem having a 6 or 8 week cleaning interval these days with systems like George to run it for you. I am totally flexible.
Gradually I am seeing all my customers going over to it and its very rare for new customers to want montly cleans anymore. Its not anything I am suggesting to them.
Business is business, give the customer what they want.

right from word go i left it to my customers to decide how often. most go for the monthly slot but iv some choose 2 weekly and some weekly , i can never understand that but thats up to them . certainly their frames shimmer !

I cant agree more, more and more customers in the south are going to 6-8 week cleans, so revert back to 4 weeks during the summer months then back to 6-8 weeks come the winter. but another thing Ive noticed is that they are more than happy to see you after a 6-8 week period :D

When i started 12 months ago I had only a few custies so they were all 4 weekly cleans coz I needed the money. I use the stay cleaner longer line a lot as I know for a fact that more often than not, they do.
At the begining of spring this year I started taking all new custies at 6 weekly or 8 weekly and started telling the 4 weekly custies that they didn't need 4 weekly as the windows were still fine.
This had a few benefits IMO: I was able to say that this was to save them money in credit crunch times as fewer cleans even though I still get money from the customer each month, this builds up my image positively with the custie, possibly generates some custie loyalty. (My round has been canvassed by other cleaners and custies offered cheaper rates but they have decided to stick with me). Most of my new custies are referrals from existing custies so I don't have to do a big sell when I get there, they have basically decided to take me on before I turn up which allows me to be more in control price wise.
When I do first cleans I make a point of taking the customer around the property and show them what I've done and generate the happiness of how good wfp really is. During this time I'm also handing out business cards and offering discounts on next cleans if they can get me some more regular custies.
I know I'm not the cheapest wcer in the area by some way, but some feedback I've received from some about the other cleaners in the area says they rather pay the extra and have the job done properly.
When I started I wanted to become relational with my custies, again a ploy to build custie loyalty. I try to have a chat with each one and try to remember something about what they said last time (a trick I learnt in call centre job, it shows you listen).
It's monday morning and I don't have any work today...which is cool, the work I do have later this week is for people I like to work for, at a price I'm happy with. My business does not have the pressure of loan repayments and my bills are covered. My business's success does not hinge on one or two clients and is growing each month in a recession. Becoming a wcer....best decision I ever made.

My customers are for the most part 4 weekly. Since changing to WFP this year I have noticed that the windows definitely stay clean longer. I haven't changed any of my existing customers frequency, they're still every 4 weeks, but any new custys I'm suggesting every 6 weeks. This is because of the financial climate, it seems to sound better to them. This is a good selling point for WFP in my opinion.
