I am making a short video on Monday to go on website. Can anyone pass any inspiration over as to what to say on it? Trying to write it as to what the custy wants rather than from a cc's point of view....

Imagine you are looking for a carpet cleaner, what would you like to know and what would make me pick up the phone.

All the information you need is right there on your website.
All I have done is take the basics of what my site says and then flour it up a bit with features and benefits.
Mine is only going to last a minute, any longer than that and a prospective client will lose interest.
As for the demo video - I am going to ad lib the whole thing, just as if I was talking to a client in their home.
See you tomorrow.

Steve now Pete and Shaun have dropped out we have hours each, you can even get your sequel done at the same time ;)

Yikes Dave - leaving it late.
Not looked at you web site recently but what Steve says is right.
Ask "how often do you wash your wooly jumper, when did you last wash your favourite blouse, now ask yourself when was your carpet last washed". something like that.
Remind them of what may be on the carpet, you know what young kids throw up or drop out.
Remind them what they bring in on the bottom of their shoes.
Then tell them what you can do for them - no techy stuff (in my opinion), yes mention the high heat if you want and the super dupper green cleaning fluids you use etc.
Is Shaun working the day so he can afford my Prowler 315?? ;D

I just want to get it over and done with and get home - got a 4 and a half hour journey back so I won't be hanging around.

It takes a bit of courage to do this sort of thing, well done lads. Good luck!

Hi Guys
Dave, I would suggest you ask people who do not know you well, what they would be interested in hearing.
Also I was taught many years ago on a public speaking course, that the more you prepare the more spontaneous you appear, it worked for me when I did a couple of the dreaded best man speeches.
Good luck.

I'm actually looking forward to it.
I don't have a problem standing up in front of people and talking, so I don't think nerves will be a problem.
You're right Doug, the more times I practise my script - the more inflection I seem to be able to add, so I don't sound too monotone and boring.
