Whats the difference between envirodri Generation 3 & 4.
I know somehow gen 4 must be better. I have purchased Gen 3 Envirodri (New) But it seemed a good deal so I went for it. Well under £600

How wide is your brush on the gen 3
gen 4 is 16"
oh, and its black - the machine not the brush.

Hi Joe,
I cant tell you how wide it is, I have not taken delivery yet It should arrive on Wednesday, possibly sooner.
Thanks for letting me know the difference Joe. So am I correct that it is just the width and colour then.
It was well under £600 new so do you think it was a good purchase Joe. I have seen them for around £840 -995 markup. Even used ones at that price. Ridiculous.

Quote from Envirodri taken from an email received: -
"The main differences between the machines is that the Gen 3 is smaller and therefore lighter to manoeuvre, its shell is metal and it comes with the gold & white brushes you require. The Gen 4 is a bigger machine and is plastic, it is only fair to advise you that the gold and white brushes you require are on back order for the Gen 4."
Ours is a Gen3 E30 and so 30 cm wide. The E40 is 40 cm wide.
I have a couple of pic's somewhere if you want me to dig them out.

"well under £600" for a new machine is good. Though personally I would prfer a 16" machine. 12" would take to long to go over a sizeable room even in a domestic situation.
Brushes are about £90 +vat a pair and there are 5 different ones available though you most probably dont need them all but you do need the "correct" ones for the carpet working on.

Joe,
As you seem to be the main man, How do I find out what brushes work on what carpet?

you will require some white/ gold or as i use the gold brushes for domestic as the whites are bit harsh in most domestic situations
-
I have 3 sets of brushes - the 3 in the "middle" of the range of 5. ie black/white, white, gold/white
to be honest i use the gold/white most of the time and cant remember when I last used any of the other two pairs.
