Had a couple of customers who have wanted to go from 4wks to 8wks. How do you deal with these price wise. For example if one was £10 every 4 weeks, how much would you charge if the customer wanted to go to 8. I decided 1.5x, so £15 every 8wks, but this equates to only £7.50 per month as I was getting £10...........but I'm only cleaning the windows once ::)
-
same price for me wether its 2 or 4 weeks or the odd one thats longer, job doesnt take any longer
-
Same for me but i'm a newbie. Help pls.
-
keep the price the same, just find a new customer to fill the gap
-
Keep them and go 50 % more. No joke. 15 sounds ok
-
50% increase per month is what I do.
from £8 to £12. for 4 to 8 weeks
from £8 to £16 from 4 to 12 weeks.
or pay per hour for a booked appointment.
You need to charge more as there is extra dirt on the window such as tree sap, birds muck, traffic grime, dirtier frames so you need to rinse and scrub longer (time is money!!) also if they live near tree more chance of having spiders covering the window frames, with eggs/nests or tree leaves/pollen etc.
all these are time consumers.

I didn't think the option of keeping the same price would be logical, as all the surrounding customers may result in a domino effect once they found out that their neighbour was still only paying £10 for 8wks, wheras they would be paying £20 every eight weeks, albeit for one extra clean. Like the idea of ditching it and getting a monthly back on the books. ;D

ohh i forgot the dreaded snail trails too!

Your clients are looking to save some money, as a cleaner, your services are not essential to them but more.... as and when it suits. This Im afraid is how they view your service. Take it on the chinsky. Find more work to fill the gaps full of clients who can easily afford you.
There are lots out there to snap up, even in todays climate, dont go overboard with pricing, you will be back to square one.

The difference in time taken to clean a house on an 8 week schedule as compared to a 4 week one is negligible, I have never charged more, I don't find any difference in time whatsoever.
On a £10 house that wants to change then you can certainly use the excuse of a greater gap between cleans to bang the price up a bit, £12 perhaps instead of the original £10 and further justify it by telling them that their annual window cleaning bill is still going to be substantially lower than before, but so far as I am concerned it's just a blag to get more money out of them.

I always add extra to a price if they change from monthly to bi-monthly generally £3 (if £20 or under) anything over that i add £5 and have never had problems from the customer they see it as a fair deal as they still save money over the year.

i work on 6 weeks so no problems. I dont charge more if they want every other clean but i do if it goes further than that.
-
I keep the same price if the go from 4 week to 8, unless I had it too low in the first place.
Windows don't get much worse unless they're on a busy main road.
In fact I did a very large property at the beginning of this wee which stands in it's own huge grounds - I do it once a year! It wasn't even very dirty! I thought they'd had them done recently, but no.
I must be doing too good a job!
-
Same price, no problem. I just change the frequency in George. 8 weeks is becoming the norm round here. Business is business.
-
i allways a add a couple of quid on
so a 10 quid house will become a 12 or 13 quid house, as the time taken isnt that much more with WFP ( same time and motion )
i am stacked out though, so it doesnt really bother me
-
most of my domestics are every 4wks.if they want it less frequent then every 8wks.no probs.same price.dont worry. u will always get the odd one.just make sure there priced well in the first place.my motto is keep it simple and dont let it get to u.easy to say wen ive got 340 custys mostly on monthlys.worked hard to build a half decent round.15yrs and only 37 :) ;D

mine are all 6 - 8 weeks ( as in, i have 6 weeks work ) so i can fall behind
i honestly think the customer doesnt really care if they are 6 or 8 week, they know when your due as the windows start to look a little dirty

Hi
I have a customer who asked for his window cleaning to be done every 12 weeks instead of every 8 weeks as before, and he said he expected it to cost more each time.
