Title: Flea Treatment

I have to spray a 3 bed empty house that has fleas, the customer wants me to clean carpets a few days after.
What is the best product for this

Surely it would be better to clean the carpets first, followed up with a flea treatment...

Extracta sell a good Pesticide..... About £10-£12 per pouch/treatment.....

I use stuff fron John kelly  ;D your supposed to not hoover for 14 or so days after using it,so cleaning would be a bad idea,as you will wash out all the treatment

We use two treatments Stapro Insectiside or we use a smoke bomb, the good part about this you can vac the carpets at a early date and the smoke goes into all the cracks etc. see www.ppcsupplies.co.uk

fleas can be hard to get rid of,if lurking behind plasterboard etc / a house near where i once lived had to b encased in a big sealed  bag  and then fumigated ,  as the normal bug treatment didnt work

My thoughts on M Power are it may work on carpets but you sometimes need to treat the walls etc. Thats way we use a smoke bomb.

Fleas lay their eggs in tiny crevices. Usually the insecticide doesn't penetrate into these. If you use a residual insecticide then once the grubs hatch out they'll come into contact and hopefully be killed. Always best to recommend follow on treatment though rather than one hit.

Ive used the powder sachets from stapro in the past just wandered if anything was better, i do intend to spray on completion of cleaning but customer wants them done before cleaners go in (so they dont get bitten to death, have told customer not to hoover for a while after spray has been applied.

As you know Mark I use M-Power, ..... have 3 cats, no fleas, so maybe it does work.
