Title: Be careful when renewing George

On the 25 July 09 I renewed my George internet backup for another year, which cost me £12.00 via the Paypal system to a company called Digital River.

Everything went fine untill the 27 July 09 when Digital River also charged me £214.46 on one transaction and £249.95 on another transaction, this was picked up by Paypal as an unauthorised transaction but paypal have said that £464.41 will be taken out of my bank account, until they have conducted their enquiries.

I have now cancelled the direct debit mandate that stops paypal from taking any money out of my bank account, but my paypal account will soon be suspended.

I renewed mine as well about then, and have had no problem. But what a pig, I would have done as you did stop  the direct debit.

I bet Paul would not be to happy.
