Title: No good for WFP
Post by: windolene on July 28, 2009, 10:47:44 pm
Hi,

Lady of the house said her previous window cleaner stopped showing since he went WFP a year ago saying he could not park on the busy road. My son & I cleaned inside & out for £60.00 with the top floor outsides being cleaned from inside.  The glass & frames were ready to fall out as one already had at top right. I guess this was also one of the reasons he stopped coming.

So were ladders used then? Or a trolley system perhaps even?  :)

These types of windows seem to need a lot of maintenance, and regular stripping and painting.

If front is the same as the back it's not a bad job at all in my book. I would have quoted it at ~£39.

Hi,

Another house just the same, they back on to each other. Originally I think just the one house but since split down the middle length wise.. Strange set -up I know. I clean a house in Richmond Surrey having had the same done,

Yes - I was wondering that - how did you clean the outer panes which opened outwards and away from your access point?

Hi,

Easy peasy,  reach your arm around the window when open, sometimes you will need the small Unger extention pole, about 8" inches. Or with the small Ettore extention pole 24"to 48" inches reach the outside of the end window when closed from the one at the other end when open.

To save sitting on the window sill which inproves reach I carry a 2 step step ladder.
