I use Phos from my local supplier about once a month or so.
http://www.cloverchem.co.uk/uk/products/food_phos_uk.htm
Stick half litre Phos to 10 litres of water in the tank and recirculate through your solution hoses back to the tank, leave for half hour with the pump off then with the heaters full on recirculate for about an hour then connect up tools and run through them for a few minutes. Pump out and put loads of fresh water through to flush. You can use it a couple of times before you need new.
I live in a hard water area (and so do you in Kent I think) and really notice the difference after de-scaling.
It shines up wand heads lovely as well and is brilliant on kettles. ;D

Hi Dennis,
Many thanks for the tip and chemical to use. My supplier stocks Phos.
I will make sure I do this every so often. And yes we are in a hard water area.
Thanks
Dave

Dennis how do you order Phos? There's no order button on the website!!
What does it cost roughly?
