my tank lid done the same it has a red breather part that lets water out, so I taped it up on the inside ! no more leaks ...

650 lay flat...and no!!!
i really wanted to get steamboats 2nite, but can't as i know i need to canvass the hell out of 2moro to make up for business promised to me by some canvassers....
ach well....all these challenges will help build me for the future!

mi leaked but thats because the inner rubber from the breather had fallen in the tank.
-
r you sure you aint filling it to much and its leaking in transit ??? ???
-
You need to allow a certain amount of air into the tank otherwise the tank will try to implode and the pump will eventually stop pushing water through, if you really need the van to stay dry you will need a vent about 6 inches above your water level and to seal the lid.

I have a 250ltr tank and mine does the same when it us full up. I was thinking of making an insert that sits on the rim of the thread for my lid hole.
I would need to take it out before i start working as the tank needs to breathe and i would probs forget.

no rubber sealing ring....ffs!!!!
can i buy them anywhere or is it a new lid?

Ok then this works for me.
Get a plastic carrier bag. Cut it so it becomes one big piece of plastic. Take lid off and place this over the hole. Cut large hole in middle so returning water can get back into tank. Put lid back on and tighten.
This works like a large piece of ptfe tape.
Sorted.....Next ;)

If the actual tank is distorted it can have an effect on the tighness of the lid.
How have you fastened the tank down ? If by ratchets, that can distort the shape of the tank.

Had a problem with 250ltr flat tank-my fault done rachets up to tight and put tank out of shape. Solved it by contacting wydale plastics who made tank and got another black rubber seal for lid for about 6 quid. Put both on and no more leaks.

i still have this problem with my 400 litre and 1000 litre upright tanks, lid tight down and rubber thing in ok but still pes out water?? :o

try either the carrier bag or ptfe, or try another ring? maybe even some of the draught excluder type of tape may work, as that is nice and spongy and should compress well.
