Title: Give up for the day!
Post by: magic1 on July 24, 2009, 11:16:50 am
Started work. Done 4 fronts. Rumble of thunder in back ground. Thought to my self its going to hammer down any minute. Anways on my fith front and i can hear shouting  ???.

Turn around and i can see my mates hose (who was working down other end of street) eye level!! A speeding truck had caught it some how. Whipped it out of van and was flapping aound behind it as it went down road. Luckily no damage caused to parked cars. Though it had wrapped around 3 car tyres.

Luckily have spare hose. Do the days work tomorrow. Not in mood to go back out. Just one of those mornings.

Tripped over the cat first this morning lost me balance, caught kictchen table. Sent everything flying  >:(. Then couldn't find the usb stick with my work on it. Just one of those days where if it can go wrong it will. :-\

Today nothing went wrong as far as I can remember  :-\
Did have a conversation with a halfwit from the general public.

"Why do you use that water pole thingy?"
It's so I don't have to use a ladder
"well that's just cheating isn't it?"
Yep
"I had someone use one of those things on my house and the water came in"
Really? you must have some poorly fitted windows.
"well when you start to use a leather you can come and clean mine!"
I think not, as I turned and started work on my house that is on the list of sixty I haven't done yet  ::)

yes it was. got sign saying trailing hose too. most folk see it and slow down.

it caught up something underneath. i could see it going up the road. luckly it didn't pull reel out of van. thank god its bolted down. It some how got sliced because it had about 20m still attached to the pole.  it reeled 80m out of van up the road.
