Title: Ideas on alternative Sebo Duo
Post by: Pristine Clean on July 23, 2009, 05:17:46 pm
Hi,

I was looking for an alterative to the Sebo Duo. They are £225.

Yes I know they are superb but I am trying to keep the price down.

So any alternative just untill I get a few jobs in for the new operator. Ive jsut purchased the HWE, CHEMICALS, SMALL Van. few other bits and bobs.

Cheers

Yes I have found these - about £30 quid Seems to be the way at present! Take a bit longer but thats fine. If thats is my only option.

Like Derek says do it the old fashioned way with a carpet brush, you need one anyway to set the pile.

The Duo is the lowest priced mechanical option. As Derek says use a carpet brush, keeps you fit. :)

And it won't be slower than with a sebo duo - it'll actually be much quicker if you get those arms pumping!

False economy operator will slow as the day goes on and will not make as good a job of agitating on the last carpet as on the first small price to pay for a better job at the end of the day IMO.

Tony I agree with you. 100%

Unfortunately funds are lacking at present. I will move on to mor expensive pro equipment later as it builds.

The new operator will be with me most of the time and on a few jobs on his own.

Envirodry sell refurbed kit direct.

Drop them a mail: -

Sacha@envirodri.com

Great kit and if anything like the refurbed one we purchased they come cleaned up like new. They even threw in a spare set of gold brushes.

Two things: -

1) The clock on the forum is 12 hours out.

2) Just looked back and we paid £250 + VAT and Carriage for an E30 (Gen3).

Right OK, Cant blame me for trying.

OK Deal sold. Blowers, I look at what you mean reggarding the side by side..  have not got a clue what you mean, I also probably have the Sebo as well if I dont have the side by side. It depends on the amount on the side by side thingy!

You won't get any Envirodri refurbs for the next year or so as they have stopped doing exhibitions so there will not be any available for the foreseeable. I know because the world and his wife have been in touch with me too get one in view of my relationship with them

Oh deary me! :o Will I live this one down! Think i kinda feel real stupid now.

I could see where you were coming from.  ;D
The e30 machine is a CRB counter rotatong brush marketed by Envirodri.
It is meant for "dry" carpet cleaning sponges but a lot of us have an Envirodri for agitation.
Much heavier duty then a Duo, heavier and more costly too. Does a brill job though.

Cheers for clearing that up Joe.

I have seen the Envirodri but far too costly for me at this present junture.

When at probably a much later date I will upgrade to that or by the time I do they will have released a better far more costly machine. I will always be behind lagging i guess.

Well the latest one is a Gen 4 and looks good in black.
I have had mine a couple of years now so maybe what you say will be right.
The e30 was a 12" brush I think.
The Gen 4 is 16"., so worth the extra in terms of efficiency.
