Can anyone tell me if this A framed reel will stand alone in the back of the van without being screwed down,i don`t really want to have to dismount the other reel and drill new holes. From the picture it does look like it will but i want to be sure first.
-
They can be used as a free standing reel.
-
Mine aren't screwed down. I have a bungee rope on one to stop it toppling over.

Without moving around you mean Alex i don`t drive like a maniac,to hosereel i use that clear braided hose you sent me do you do everything to connect from that to microbore etc i saw on the site fittings. Also does it come assembled i`m not 1 for jigsaws lol,i`m looking for a really smooth reel mine is getting a little tired and stiff even after lots of WD40. ;)

Do you have the blue 1`s on the website, that`s the 1 i want.
-
These reels are well balanced and quite square so they should be fine. They come fully assembled and we do supply a fitting kit for them.

Thank`s i saw that on the site does it work smoother than the other 1`s you know the 1 i mean,i want it to be so smooth reeling in and out i can hardly feel it lol.
-
No, they are more stable than mine, mine are yellow.
Once you have connected there will never be any leaks or issues, the wieght of the hose is enough to turn the reel.Your life will be easier.
Get one of those flexi tools for tightening jubilees.Thank`s i saw that on the site does it work smoother than the other 1`s you know the 1 i mean,i want it to be so smooth reeling in and out i can hardly feel it lol.
yes

What flexi tool, the yellow 1`s i don`t like the look of there to upright and unstable looking that`s why i havn`t gone for 1.
-
Blue are better for you. I went yellow to convert.
the tool has a flexible shaft but otherwise like a screw driver and 6/7mm socket on the end.

easy fix i did for my redashe reel is to cut a 600mm square piece of ply
fix two lengths of 4''x2'' down the sides (to allow clearance of reel bolts)
and bolt reel to the platform you can then still get reel in and out if you need to
