Having just taken delivery of Super-Lite 56ft pole a few weeks back, I have come across a couple of jobs where a half size section of a Super-Lite pole would come in very handy.
Do you sell these Alex as there isn't any on your website?
Has anyone else come across this and wondered the same?
Your feedback would be great. Hope that makes sense.
The pole is out of this world, and I only wish I had ordered it a long time ago!

yes it wood be good but wich setion ??????????????
-
The larger sections, not the numbered ones :D
-
yes but when you drop it down to 6,or 5 ,same prob in sum instaes ,????
-
Take this picture for example.
I have only a foot wide gulley to walk and stand in. Because of the position of the roofs it makes it difficult for me to reach the bottom of the windows as the pole is too long, if I take a section off, the pole isn't long enough. I managed that day, but it was awkward. Catch my drift?

iv not had that in so far as on a roof but on the grownd .prhaps it neads one with three sizes ,or at lest two

We do not produce a half section. The main reason for this is that everybody would want a different section as a half section. We could have them made but they would actually work out more expensive than a standard base section. The only solution for you would be if you sawed a base section in half, re-glued the protecta ring on the bottom and then you would have a section that would give you exactly the right height for that very awkward gully job. We can always make this modification for you.

thats wot i thort alex for me i ant a mager prob for me as yet

Tomy,
I have half a section for sale.

you should be wearing a harness on the roof!! :P

Those pics show that pole off to it`s max, ease of use tackling that with a 45-60 footer at the end of the day you`d feel it.

Fit a swivel on the gooseneck so that it allows you to move sideways to the window in restricted spaces like mentioned in your topic. I too have the same problem in some places and find a swivel allows me the room to manoeuver in tight spaces.
I also use a tapered half section (old, broken sections joined together (with araldite, to make a wedged conical pole, with electricians tape wrapped thinly at the mid way point and thickly wrapped towards the bottom of the half section so it will push fit into SL poles No.2 to No.6. I also use one broken down No.7 section so there's no job I can't reach in restricted spaces.
-
I have a similar situation with some work. I just use a bit longer and then work from an angle.
-
If you had a half size section to fit the 2nd from top section wouldn't it suit everyone's needs, never used one but seems to make sense ???
-
Reason why some of us need a half section is because we waterfed boys don't all come in the same height and don't have the same taller reach as Alex who designed the pole ;D
-
Section one should be half the size it is, so that when doing ground floor windows it would be alot easier with a 3 foot pole than a 6 foot pole.
-
harfe neads to b at botom of pole not top as you have same prob of long section to remove
-
dont cut it but have a look at fishing shop????????????
-
I've taken everyone's thoughts on board and will think this over.
-
