my mate has just bought this system, problem is it,s just making a trickle of water.
its making only 24 litres per hour.
it,s producing a lot of waste water!
do theses systems need a certain water pressure to produce IE booster pump?
or could the filters need changing
-
photos lol

Is it plumbed in right ? pics help
Is it still on flush mode ?
whats his pressure ?
You need about 60psi for a good pressure or a booster pump is needed.
Sounds to me like its still flushing the membrane

the system is second hand and was used on a daily basis.
i just don't understand why it,s not producing more water.
-
Do you have the fill switch in the "on" position for the solenoid valve?
-
there should be a tap that adjust the amount of water you make and how much waste you make try turning the tap and you should hear the water going in the tank faster hope that helps also to find the tap just follow your main water inlet pipe

Can he ring the people he got it from?

What's that valve/solenoid/switch thing for on the feed line to the filters?
-
think its to do with the auto shut off valve.

If you turn the little dial where ive circles does this not produce.
-
if you turn that dial it produces more waste but not more pure? its beaten me! lol

it should produce more pure, turn one way will produce more waste less pure, and the opposite way should reverse it.

If it was mine, the first thing I would do would be to strip the filters down and fit new. I'd also be tempted to have a peek at the membrane and probably replace. Shure as eggs the last guy wouldn't have spent any money servicing it just before selling it. Also take a reading of the tap pressure where it's being filled.
