I am interested to see which you get more calls on Landline or Mobile or Fifty Fifty - this way I can determine wether to put a landline number on my Leaftets,
Thanks

Always worth putting a landline down i reckon. Some people dont use a mobile (still) and find ringing a mobile from there house phone expensive.
-
my landline even when me mums tells them to ring me if they really need to speak to me they dont ring my mobile that much that reminds me i need to update my website and put the landline on there
-
A lot of people get free calls to landlines (I do) so more convenient
-
if they want the windows cleaned they'll spend 50p calling your mobile
:D
-
Then again people with mobiles get free minutes to call other networks.
Most of my calls are made to my mobile with a few to the landline...If they worry,I'll phone them back..
-
I personally would not phone someone that just gives a mobile.
If you have both numbers on, and i was requiring the services i would phone the land line number first and then the mobile.
Dont forget on are supposed to have your company address on all your flyers as stated by trading standards.
But since many do not, i wouldn't go near a company that give no address and just uses a mobile, very un professional, and a sign to steer clear, because you cannot trace them.
If you want to be treated seriously like a serious professional you should give your adress, land number and phone number on all your flyers/business card etc.

I haven't voted because I don't know. I usually have my landline on divert and I don't bother checking the itemisation.
-
Without a landline number looks unprofessional IMO,.. I always have both numbers and my address on all flyers/advertising/tickets.
-
I use a company called voipfone, they supplied me a free landline number which I can divert to any phone I choose so when out and about I divert it to my mobile and when I'm home it diverts to landline - costs about £13.00 a month but depends on the volume of calls and whether they are mobile or landline diverted - mobile costs 10p per minute I think and lanline costs 3p per minute. The benefit is the customer believes they are calling a local landline number instead of an expensive mobile number and this is the only number I advertise.
Thanks Jason

I get almost all my calls through the landline.
Customers see my number and know I am local.
Always more reassuring calling a landline and I personally would not call any tradesman just giving a mobile number.

someone stuck a leaflet through my door with just a mobile on i wouldnt ring

Started w/c in feb 09, leaflets stated mobile number/email address. Was told i would do better with a landline, had landline fitted and dumped 20000 old leaflets down the tip .Reprinted leaflets with landline number on but only have about 5% using it , 10% email ,25% word of mouth and 60% mobile

The landline would still help for these people to contact, I know myself and a lot of people I know would never ever employe someone with just a mobile number on, I f needed a electrician, plumber, builder etc if they didnt have a landline number I wouldnt ring them, but if they did advertise one id still ring there mobile as i know id get straight to them, its just reassurance ayou know where there based and more trustworthy in my opinion,
