WHAT IS THE BEST REASON TO GIVE CUSTY, TO DO THERE INSIDE WINDOWS DONE, THEY ARE OVIOUSLY NOT GOING TO DO THEMSELVES.

I try and find excuses for not doing insides. It's a real pain going back to the van for trad gear and making up a solution just to do the inside of a patio door.

I often put on invoices that 'If you allow us to clean your windows internally you will be able to see what an excelent job we are doing on the outside.'

The offices are wrote that to got me to do their insides. It's 4 storey victorian building. I do the insides for £70 once every 3 months and it takes just over an hour. I have 3 like that in a row.
Drumming up new business of that sort is not begging.  ::)
You would have to be an idiot to turn it down.
With houses I don't offer too many bad experiences with net curtains, plants and other nonsensica, and of course the world famous 'While you're here would you do this?'

Slightly off topic but dont you find some of your best customers have digusting insides? Month after month you will clean the outsides to perfection and they never touch the insides ::)

then why clean to perfection? just clean to a good standard, they are not going to know the difference of one or 2 spots or mis detailing.

Just say summin like..

"Have you ever thought of having your interior windows cleaned to increase your visual pleasure?

I know most people say they will do it themselves but the fact of the matter they dont have the time, or they are not able to get a great clean, so please ask, and we can arrange to get your windows looking perfect"

Im setting a day aside each month for insides as ive got a few to do. Im going to send out a letter to my customers explaining i do insides aswell. Something along the lines of ....

Dear .............,

Having been asked recentley by a number of customers about internal window cleaning and how to get the best from your window clean I thought i would share some tips with you.

Tell them to clean the windows on the insides once every two months and key window like doors & kitchen windows each month.

Then slip in somewhere that you offer internal window cleaning.

I've not come up with a final letter yet but im sure you get the jist.

Im offering one day a month to start and will see how it goes.

Sell them a spray bottle of pure water and a microfibre cloth for a fiver. lol
Once they have bought it, tell them the pure water will go off on 3-4 weeks. lol

Exactly! But I have drpped two customers over the years because I felt guilty doing the outsides when (1) was a right mess on the insides and (2) every window in the property was blown.
I just couldn't see the point and after numerous cleans felt guilty that they wouldn't see the difference even if I'd thrown mud at the windows ;D

most inside windows fare such a chore, I avoid them like the plague if poss, and price to put them off!

I prefer it if they are filthy cos you can just do a quick wfp whizz over without worrying about them being perfect cos they'll never notice.

if they're perfect on the insides and no net curtains, you know you've got to be spot on!
