i'm a season ticket holder at celtic park and we loved the big man when he played for us. Hope he pulls through this

i know at times at the footy i have given him incredible abuse, what with him being a fatty jack b'stard
but at times like this, what ever he is, it needs to be forgotten
good luck Johnny , hope you win this battle

hopefully he can take heart from Alan Stubbs and get through this, although it does sound a lot worse.

It's a bugger of an illness; it doesn't care if you're rich or poor, famous or not; nobody's safe from cancer :(.
I'm not a Celtic fan; I'm not even Scottish, but I really hope the fella gets through this. I can fullt sympathise with him as I've an appointment tomorrow at the Onchology dept at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth tomorrow at 2pm for results of an op for the same cancer; my second time in seven years :'(
Good luck John Hartson; I'll be following your progress ;)

I'm really sorry to hear about your plight mate and really hope all goes well for tomorrow.
it really is true when they say you never think it will happen to you, but it really brings it home to you when someone close is struck down with it.
I'm sure just like yourself that John will face it with a positive manner and I wish the both of you well.

Its my Auntys birthday today,
Shes in her early 70s fair do's,
but shes spending it in the douglas macmillan hospice in stoke on trent,
last month she was in tenerife,
last week she was given a max of 2 wks to live after discovering she had secondary liver cancer,
Yesterday she was given a maximum of 48hrs to live,
From what my mum has told me tonight, she'll be lucky to see her birthday out.
Good luck to john hartson in his fight, i really mean that,
And well done to people like ian wick's wife who are doing all they can to raise funds to beat this terrible disease,
Dean

Being Welsh and seeing JH playing international football (although I was no great fan of his playing style) I was shocked to hear that someone who would have been so fit should be hit so young by this.
What was so shocking was the spead with which it apparently spread.
Get well John you're fit enough to fight this.
