Title: Burn Marks on Decking
Post by: Simon Richardson on July 15, 2009, 11:49:55 am
Been to a customer this morning who had new decking fitted last week. The day after he has put a load of weed and feed on his grass.

A day later he has walked on the grass and then the decking leaving some lovely black foot prints accross his lovely new decking.

Any ideas please.

Thanks

Hi,without looking at it i can only offer these options,
1 try with hot pressure washer but at low pressure you dont want to split or raise the grain.
2 if its not that badly scorched then sanding might be the answer.
3 it sounds to me that he may have used sodium chlorate as a weed killer this stuff can be lethal esp to bare timber, you could try either acetone or pure vinegar
