Going to be ordering my traditional soap tomorrow.
Is a toss up between 'the pill' and one of the gg's.
Any reccomendations ? And what makes it best to use please :)
I'm in a hard water area but don't mind using the pure stuff.
-
fairy liquid. ok i will leave now as no one will agree
-
fairy best there is, used it for 25 years ;)
-
Dont use soap, I use GG4 and when that runs out GG3 lol
-
im in a soft water area so gg3 for me.
doesn't leave white smear residue like washing detergents.
-
fairy. no question!
-
I'm in a hard water area so that why I have GG4, but now I have pure water I will be ordering GG3 next lol

Ill save me money and go with the fairy then if your all going to be like that.
Thanks guys :)
-
are you 100% traditional window wipers?
-
am surprised manufactrers have not come out with the silicon rubber blades yet, no soaps will be needed just plain water, pure water would be best to assure no spotting,
-
Jouk some old guys only use water, god know how they get their blade to slide lol
-
probibly using silicon rubber ;D its the only way, hes a wise old man lol
-
lol
;D ;D
He must go through some blades lol
-
matt i like your Credit Crunching Offer a lot on your website ;D
-
lol
I'm still not happy with my website, still playing around with it lol
;D ;D
Got a job of it today though lol
Big internal and external clean, mostly paint on the windows. I've booked it in for 2 weeks time lol
-
No matt I'm mostly wfp.
I'm just getting trad kit cos I'm picking up more inside jobs latley and finding a few windows here and there that I can't use wfp on.
I went out and bought a diy set when I first started and money was tight. Has done me till now, but it takes ages cos its cheap stuff.
Now I've built my round up I can start buying some kit to make my life easyer :)
-
fairy is great if your not gonna wfp the same window at later date
-
W5 from LIDL is very good. i heard about it on this forum and now use a dash of it every day
-
Won't be using wfp on any of the windows as they are insides, in garages/carports with no where to run
-
pre- wash dirty windows with gg3 ( 1st cleans) wfp after, gg3 & fairy the best
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
-
window wipers, if you have a supply of pure water, then I would use GG3 over GG4 as the GG3 is more concentrated.
the 3.8ltr bottle (US gallon) will last twice as long, and its the same price.
-
we still swear by fairy
-
Central have you used GG4?
Also noticed your in the next town to me lol
I'm in Hinckley.
-
fairy love it especially when its buy one get one free ;D
-
Got Fairy with Oxide here, been using it for a week and find I get better glide and it suds up better.Dunno if Oxide is the main cause or if ze gurmans have changed the concentrate too.Been using it for years. Can't get GG's here.
-
any washing up liquid does for me, the amount of time i use it
-
YWCS hows the nissan today?
-
I,m a complete fairy :-*
-
I`m also a fairy man :-*,
iv`e used probably every other make there is out there morning fresh is probably second best ;)
-
YWCS :'(
-
Morning Fresh washing up liquid is just as good as fairy and its on 2 for 1 more often.
dont agree, fairy 2 for 2 quid at Tesco at the moment
-
I have gone back to fairy as i can get it anywhere.
Im mostly WFP and most of the time the wife is with me so she does downstairs with good ole fairy.
If she is not with me i WFP them and some people say you will get spotting if you WFP a window you have previously cleaned with fairy which i find is utter rubbish.
I WFP windows we have cleaned with fairy and they come up perfect.
-
Fairy, Nannette Newman did not lie! ;D
-
Fairy Liquid all the way.
I used to add a liquid called "UBIK" when folk were allowed to smake in pubs but I don't need it now.
At a quid a throw it's the best value around ;D
-
fairy when i have to do trad, no question ;)
-

100% correct! IMO it was just a theory that's snowballed out of controll, like many things regarding WFP! ;D
Does make me laugh though-
We have pure water that's ultra agressive. So much so it rots wood, strips polish off cars even puts holes in T-shirts :o! Oh, & it's sterile! ;D
BUT THEN- it can't shift a micro-film of water-dissolvable washing up liquid! ;D ;D
Yer gotta laugh ain't ya?

Anyone tried WCW`s Ultra Shine?

i have used fairy for years :) then they changed the formula :(
so i swapped to morning fresh , i find it really good on every thing i do trad
and cheap
tried gg3 & gg4 and unger liquid
rubbish in comparison , honestly
-
Still using a large amount of Ettore squeegee off that I bought ages ago but in reality any washing up liquid is just as good, a lot cheaper and easily obtainable.
