Title: Best traditional soap ?
Post by: Blue Frog Systems on July 14, 2009, 10:03:21 pm
Going to be ordering my traditional soap tomorrow.

Is a toss up between 'the pill' and one of the gg's.

Any reccomendations ? And what makes it best to use please :)

I'm in a hard water area but don't mind using the pure stuff.

am surprised manufactrers have not come out with the silicon rubber blades yet, no soaps will be needed just plain water,  pure water would be best to assure no spotting,

No matt I'm mostly wfp.

I'm just getting trad kit cos I'm picking up more inside jobs latley and finding a few windows here and there that I can't use wfp on.

I went out and bought a diy set when I first started and money was tight. Has done me till now, but it takes ages cos its cheap stuff.

Now I've built my round up I can start buying some kit to make my life easyer :)

Won't be using wfp on any of the windows as they are insides, in garages/carports with no where to run

window wipers, if you have a supply of pure water, then I would use GG3 over GG4 as the GG3 is more concentrated.
the 3.8ltr bottle (US gallon) will last twice as long, and its the same price.

I have gone back to fairy as i can get it anywhere.

Im mostly WFP and most of the time the wife is with me so she does downstairs with good ole fairy.

If she is not with me i WFP them and some people say you will get spotting if you WFP a window you have previously cleaned with fairy which i find is utter rubbish.

I WFP windows we have cleaned with fairy and they come up perfect.

Fairy Liquid all the way.

I used to add a liquid called "UBIK" when folk were allowed to smake in pubs but I don't need it now.

At a quid a throw it's the best value around  ;D

100% correct!  IMO it was just a theory that's snowballed out of controll, like many things regarding WFP! ;D

Does make me laugh though-
We have pure water that's ultra agressive. So much so it rots wood, strips polish off cars even puts holes in T-shirts :o! Oh, & it's sterile! ;D

BUT THEN- it can't shift a micro-film of water-dissolvable washing up liquid! ;D ;D

Yer gotta laugh ain't ya?

Still using a large amount of Ettore squeegee off that I bought ages ago but in reality any washing up liquid is just as good, a lot cheaper and easily obtainable.
