Title: Stamina
Post by: kevin James on July 14, 2009, 08:54:29 pm
Doing 25 plus houses a day, 5 days a week, has been taking it's toll, 'specially in the heat.
Well, in advance if Florida trip in august I bought a CamelBak to see if it would be good for keeping the kids fluid levels up.
Result.
Today was pretty warm in places & although I felt a bit O' a Pratt sucking on the tube, it meant I continually had fluid intake & didn't feel tired at all. ( I'm a terror for not drinking enough water, takes too much time!)
I didn't feel hungry either & found a bag of nuts kept me right at it!
Thoughts, gents?

I do that lol

When it was really hot a week or two back i was drinking 2-3 litres which helped alot and i was surprised i worked full days so i think tiredness definitely is brought on by dehydration and keeping fluid levels up in the form of water is best other drinks, sugary, caffeinated, will dehydrate

don't you guys set yourself targets? How else do you keep the motivation going?
As I see it there are 2 sets of goals:

1) lets see how much I can cream off each customer.  ( bit short term for me)
2) lets see how productive I can get, by little improvements here, little improvements there.
I don't charge big money ( average 3 bed £7.50) but I pride myself on earning a good wage by being fast & giving the custie a good deal!

I believe in a good breakfast to start the day off healthy.

Drinking fresh orange juice is suppose to give  you plenty of energy and make you hyperactive, same with red bull.

Stamina only lasts as long as the fuel you feed your body with. You are what you eat.

25 isnt that hard 3/4 an hour if compact is achievable (3 bed semis) and thats 24 - 32 in an 8 hour day :) 8-12, 12:30 - 4:30 or similar....

easy peasy

I'd love to see the electric reel doing what it's suppose to. Any chance you could post a vid to UTube and post the link on this site.
