who makes the best poles at the moment, and secondly would you go for a longer pole than needed rather than a shorter pole for the correct job.
-
it depends on funds, if you can only afford one pole get the longest you can afford.
-
Go for a pole with removable sections, just make sure you get some spare end caps for the different sections so when you remove a bit you can still protect the bottoms.Gardiners are bringing out a new range next week that will suit your needs.

Why has know one mentioned brodex
-
probably because I have heard they are rubbish.
Very bad customer service.

My best everyday pole is my current SL-X mk1...is does most things...but still need the Facelift 44t c/f for higher stuff....
SL-X takes alot of beating...but then again there are plenty of poles ou there.
Cheers
Dave.

Hardly any manufacturers have been mentioned yet. Why bring up Brodex? Sounds like you work for them!

a lot of pole use is down to personal preference as there are so many out there on the market.
but you need to get away from these Ive this and Ive heard that brigade and get the views of people who have actually had experience of the them.
I'm intending to purchase a SLX pole shortly because I know someone who owns one and also uses it to double up as a gutter vac which is exactly what I intend to use it for too.
I currently use 2 X Ionics 18" multipoles which I personally fine ideal for domestic, 1 X Ionic 30 " multipole which is ok for the price but can get a little heavy after long use throughout the day. and 1 X Ionics 60 " Ergolite 2 which is excellent for everything Ive used it for

I know people who have had bad experinces with companies like brodex.
if they were very good everyone will be ranting and raving about them, not slagging them off.
remember bad news travels faster than good.
You can give a review of a product better if you have one yourself, but if you havent had any other poles you can't compare it with the poles you haven't used.

Yup ive heard the same.
I use Gardiners for most orders because they have a very good reputation, great customer service and great products.

I think you mean the SL-2, the slx wouldn't be much good as a gutter vac!
