I use a mix of both, I prefer scrim for detailing but use Microfiber and some spray for small windows or leaded ones. Towelling for sills. When trad I have to have 4 cloths with me at all times. Towelling, 2 scrim (one old one newish) and a microfiber.

Quality scrim for me. I've recently tested 4 different microfiber cloths & ALL leave a mess on the glass when detailing. Not always apparent 'till the sun shines but when it does it looks bad! Also they don't last long before needing a fresh one. I really wanted them to work for 'cos they're more convenient (softer, easier to handle) but I just don't like them for detailing, better for glass cleaning though if you use the right side.

how many towels do you use per ( say) ten houses.  i suppose you would use more towels because they absorb better, just guessing thou, deffinately giving it a go, just alot of money if not happy with it, just trying to get as much info as possible.

Im mainly wfp, but on the few houses i do trad, i only need 2 per house. One to take most of the moisture away or wipe the frames, sills, and the other to ensure any drips are completely wiped and dried.
