Hi guys (and girls),
I've picked up a few jobs lately that involve the use of traditional kit. Not much, just a few windows per house.
I have a cheap kit that takes me ages to clean with (cos its cheap) and realise I need to invest some money into better kit that will make it easyer and quicker for me.
What would you guys reccomend I get ? Like I said its a couple of windows and about 8 houses a month.
All is ground floor work that I can reach without needing extensions (at the moment)

A good rectangular bucket
A 14" applicator handle and sleeve - I use Unger green microfibre sleeve with scritchy end
A 14" squeegee - I use Unger Ergotec with Ettore rubber
A 10" squeegee - I use Unger Ergotec with Ettore rubber
Some microfibre cloths - for wiping your blade with and cleaning the window edge
GG3 detergent
A wide blade scraper
A small aluminium extension pole

A wagtail flipper, just the thing for what you need it for! ;)

Agree with the wagtail, once your used to it its ace, i have moved quite a bit of my small round to it instead of my trolley as the nature of the houses its quicker.

As Mr Gardiner minus the Ettore rubbers; I use Pulex rubbers because they're miles cheaper and just as good.
Some like Ettore 'cause they're softer but with softness comes the ability to split whenever it encounters a bit of flakey paint or a particularly tough peice of fresh air :D
Pay extra if you want but Pulex will last for ages and will clean a window every bit as good as Ettore.
I would also add a 6" mop and squeegie to that list; they'll be invaluable when you come across windows with the little panes in them.

Also add BOAB (bucket on a belt), pouches and belt, a few old towels or cloths for wiping the window ledges, keep your microfibres for the glass.
Personally I like the Unger rubbers, hard ones for the summer and soft for the winter, can't get away with Pulex rubbers, and Ettore Master are just too expensive.

My basic kit is:
Bucket on belt
10" Unger ergotech squeegee
14" applicator with Porcupine sleeve
Pouch with cloths
pocket scraper
Bucket with lid
Does just about everything on my round. ;D
