if you cant do one for a mewp why are you licensed at using one?

use some common sense, its literally a step by step guide. Its not rocket science, just very long winded approach to show you are aware of the procedures, which you should be if your trained and licensed.

I thought GWCS offered some good advice there !

The best documents are always the ones you produce yourself, no-one on here is going to give you anything worth having anyway.

Everyone exchanges simple RA's etc , but people are very reluctant to exchange anything more complex.

If you produce something yourself, it shows you have thought about it and you fully understand the need for the document.

when going thru RA and MS course, we had to do it with making a cup of tea, it was like 50 steps!!

pick up kettle, and put under tap.

Fill the kettle to the desired amount via the tap.

Replace kettle on worktop, and ensure plug and kettle are dry before plugging in the mains.

etc..

they want the same "stupid guide for 4 year olds" for everything you do.

In fairness you understand why, when you completed it. Its to ensure you know exactly what steps are required, and how to go about the job safely.

Most of which you will do instinctively

If you have been trained with any equipment this should be easy (especially if you have course notes), just very long winded.

@ Matt, regarding help, well the above is help as dave said.

If you want the documents handed to you on a plate, how is that learning or helping? It makes a mockery of the whole reason for being safe contractor accredited.

There are a lot of guys that come on here asking for a generic RA and MS, i must admit I have once.. But in all honesty whats the point of that? It just promotes a bunch of untrained, un safe contractors thinking that their ra and ms will get them a green light. Until one day you end up in court being asked to explain your reasoning for your RA and MS to which you ill have no idea about because you just copied it.

I found it much easier to pay for a course to teach me how to do it and what is involved.

Safecontractor are the guys behind the HSE question and answers, if you need help with anything you are not sure about, just phone them up - its why they are there!!

to be fair, i have done a course with the HSE , with the aim of becoming a HSE officer, i was offered a placement after the course, but declined it as i didnt fancy the % of time sat in the office, just pointing out i know a fair bit about RA / MS etc etc
