Microfibres are the best thing since sliced bread, window cleaning warehouse do their own brand at about £4 each

Amen to that; microfibre is the best. I use old towels for general sills etc, micro for any detailing or buffing.

I have a love/hate relationship with microfibers, still think you can't beat scrim for detailing.

I use the blue huk towels (surgical towels) imported from the states.

100 of them at approx £65, approx 65p each :D

They are much more absorbent then scrim, and much easier to detail with.

My grade a scrims are now redundant - LOL

the best microfibre cloths i found were from lidles about 350mm*350mm. they are absolutly brilliant for buffing and detailing at £ 1.99 fantastic value for money,

the next best i've found is unger heavy duty micro but they get to wet to quick so not very good for detailing.
