Title: Cleaning painted metal framed windows

I cleaned a training centre yesterday, with WFP the frames were metalic and had been painted with white paint, when I checked them after they had dried I noticed a white dusty film on most of the panes of glass.
Will I need to thoroughly wash the frames or is it the case I HAVE to clean them with mop and blade?

i think its a case the paints runs milky from the water, as over time the paint comes away..

You will need to rinse loads.. but you will prob always get runs..

I hate to do those wfp, you would simply not be able to get a good finish. Trad has its place and this is one of them i think.

What comes first - safety or totally clean glass?

I have a few houses with these frames........

For the first clean, I clean as normal and scrub the frames to get all the cobbwebs etc off. After you have done the last window go back to the beginning and ONLY do the glass and rinse well.
Its a pain for first clean but following cleans will just need a quick wipe of the brush on the frames and do glass as normal
