Title: broken harris pole (bentley section)
Post by: concept on July 07, 2009, 08:36:02 am
took a week off work yesterday to work a round i am buying, and get to the 1st house, tops, fine, bottoms, half way round...SNAP!!!

i wasn't scrubbing hard, as it's not a 1st clean...probably putting on some pressure, but i wouldnt have thought anywhere near enough to snap the bentley section clean off.

could it be the fact i bolted it in rather than screwed? didnt like the feel of it wobbling about when it was screwed in.

went home in the right cream puff i can tell you.

i would have been carrying a spare pole and brush, however i have been waiting 8 days for my brodex hydro pole...

not a great start to my w/c carreer!!!

Ah well, put it down to experience, and carry spares of everything you can.

I just wish I had a spare vehicle because this is the second day of lost work since mine's in the garage.

i only use the bentley thread in the end of mine. have used just a bentley handle to do bottoms before but last only a week or so . they are too weak to extend your harris pole in my opinion.

yep, read so much about em here, and basically caused me no end of bother, let me down twice, slinging it and investing in a reasonable alternative.
