I'm freelance in a stay at home business at the moment so at least i can earn and eat while building the business!!..i was just wondering if anyone can share there experiences in starting up in oven cleaning, or just tell me how they got on? I know the cleaning business is damn hard work (i used to be in carpet cleaning yrs ago) but just turned 40 and need a different direction..any comments would be gratewfully received....niceguy

I am sure if you look through previous posts you will find out information on this area, there is so much great information on this forum. I don't personally know anyone working in that area, however if you look on this page there is another post on oven cleaning and member 'tenerife 123' is in this business and has posted some information on this so you may want to contact him for a start.

Mick, go to the top of the page and use the search button and see what has been written on the subject recently, as Sarah has said there has been some discussion on the matter.
And welcome to the cleanitup forum......
Kind Regards

Hello - I'm a newbie too and just signed up today. I was not sure if I had signed up to the wrong one but they do seem a nice bunch of people so hope I will fit in. I am female and I am starting my own business cleaning computers - just the outsides, not insides, not heard of oven cleaning, but sounds a really good idea - I certainly would pay someone to do mine. I have started from scratch with no help and have done everything myself. Just been on a course run by the Inland Revenue dedicated to small businesses just starting up - I can highly recommend it and it costs nothing. I was so scared of doing something wrong and getting a huge bill - I now know how to do my books and how much to put away each month to cover my tax bill. If you want any advise at all about starting up please contact me - I will be glad to help. I have done just about everything myself and am ready to start in Sept when my youngest starts school.
Best regards
Oli
