Title: G-fit goosenecks - what size ?

I have been looking at the g-fit goose necks but dont want to buy over sized, What size do you guys find is just right for those victorian sills?

I have the 9 inch (i think) and an older gooseneck that is longer. But i didn't get on with either of them over the long term.
I found these goosenecks were a hassle to change for certain windows.
And on normal windows the brush used to sorta lose its balance unless i was at right angles to the window. Making me work slower.
I use the normal plastic 1 all the time now and turn up my water flow if i can't get the angle down to the bottom of the window cill.

I would get the shortest one that you think will do the job. The longer they are the more work they create.

I find the 12" one is fine for average Victorian window sills.  The sizes are measured from the top of the pole to the glass surface so a 12" one will easily reach over a foot deep window sill.  I have the 12" gooseneck fitted as standard to most of my poles, I just cannot get on with the lack of reach on a plastic gooseneck and the flexibility.

I have two 12 " goosenecks but I don't use them because they caused my plastic cone threads to break in half leaving one half in the gooseneck,a nightmare to remove,might stick them on Ebay now I've removed the broken pieces,if you do buy one I suggest you get the aluminium cone thread,wish I did :-[.
The other problem I had with these type of goosenecks is when your cleaning a window at an angle is very awkward,it also has great advantages like over railings and deep sills etc. but I now just use the plastic angle adapters ;D

i agree with slash i had problems with the threads on my pole so scraped it i know use a plastic angle adapter and a plastic swivel connector that you can buy from gardiner poles,the swivel connector need a bit to get used to but those extra 3/4 inches make a differance,to get over a window sill
