Title: stone floor cleaning

can anyone help. ive got a set of stone stairs with grease and oil on them from domestic waste and building work. they are a communal stairway where i cant use high pressure washing. anybody got any ideas about chemical or other solutions?

i would use a good quality de-greaser and if it is'nt possible to use a pressure washer then you could higher and industrial steam cleaner which would work but would take a lot longer.
