Last time out with my vac and I don't know, it just didn't feel right and didn't have the suction it should have. Tonight I flushed the hose out - nothing much came out. Then I sent my drain jetter up the hose and blew out thirty inch and a half nails! :o

I had a one and half foot long screw driver in mine a few weeks back. Amazing what comes out of guttering.

the nails would have been used to fix tiles / slates, they get dropped and slowly work themselves down the felt ( the gutter is put on after the roof is finished normally ) but the nails slowely come down the felt

How could you measure it? I just know how hard my vac (not genuine) sucks and could tell something wasn't quite right even though everything seemed clear.

They aren't brilliant when sucking up sludge, the hose gets lined with it and the mesh over the motors tends to get splattered in the stuff. You know by the weight when things are clogging, sometimes sucking a bucket of water up helps. My drain jetter is perfect for cleaning the hose out.
