Title: 2 pumps on one controler

can you run 2 pumps on one controler i have the didgital controler ???

THought you weren t joining up with anyone yet  :)

I believe you can do it, but one of the flows suffers in the control of speed etc

You can but once 1 pole is dead ended the other pole will get double the amount of water at the brush and that`s the main thing you need to consider as well as the pump not lasting as long although they do last a long time anyway,i`ve been using the same pump for the last 2 years and i only changed the other 1 because i needed the fittings on it,i`ve never had a pump go on me touch wood i have 2 spares just in case which as i say have not been needed.

No you can't run 2 pumps off of 1 controller, you need a controller per pump.  The controller would have no way of knowing to shut one pump off and keep the other running.

It would keep running until the second pole was dead ended,the problem you would get would be that after shutting off the first pole the remaining 1 would get far more water at the brush.Once you unplugged the second pole it would shut off as normal.

Wouldn't the extra amps drawn by 2 pumps melt the controller?

no you cant, I've already tried that one. When two pumps are connected all that happens is the controller starts then stops, strarts then stops all the time. Its something to do with the fact that it thinks one pump is running too fast so shuts it down, but cos the other pump is still running it shuts that one down, but the other one starts running so it shuts that one down - and so on
