Title: cleaning area
Post by: Big Al on June 29, 2009, 01:39:02 pm
Do you think 3 cleaners can clean 12,000 sqft of new office in three hours, thats 1 hour each?

it has 16 offices and 45 staff, two kitchens, etc but no toilets as the landlord cleans them. ???

Surely that is discriminating against your heterosexual and bi-sexual workforce?  ???

Is it all on one floor?

Should be able to do it, if you had all measurements in metres for each room that requires cleaning i could of done a time break down for you.

You have mail

Yer looked at it, you should be able to do it 1 hour each, make sure you get all the stuff required so your team is not back and to collecting stuff, use a trolly system or henry bags or something.

The conference rooms / meetings room might not require doing all the time so that will save time, but then you have spot cleaning etc.

Unable to give timings sorry ;D you might want to type in bidmodel for cleaning on Google and buy it £29 but works great.

Have you quoted yet or is it what they want? 3 hours per day.

Try this out, work out how much you would charge in pence for each square foot then times by 12,000
then compare it with what you would charge per hour per cleaner then brake it down.

we did a 14,000 at 0.01p per square foot £140 per day

hi there

12000 sq ft  covered bt three cleaners each on site for only 1 hour, that requires a productivity rate of 4000 sq ft per hour, even the big boys dont demand that high a ratio.

the big boys work on approx 2750-3000 sg ft per hour, i would look to base your calculations on that.

cause if you get it wrong on a five day a week job, then the shortfall soon adds up.

regards

martin

Martin is closer than the other advice you have been given.

However, you must allow for the type of cleaning your client wants, as well as collecting cups, plates etc, and of course loading/unloading dishwasher if required.

Is the office on two or more floors, this will add extra time!

Three staff? Is the office currently staffed like this? Are you going to TUPE them over?

If none of the above apply, are you confident that you can find high quality, reliable staff to work just one hour a day?

Regards,

Rob

Let us know if you get it, we use a bidmodel to price ours up.

Doing this you can quote in front of them and print off a contract at the same time

Invest in a laser tape and purchase a the bidmodel  ;D

i Applemaidcleaning.

You tend to be up for this bid model! Do you really think it is that good? I know it is only £29.00 and I know the site you are on about.

Have not purchased it as I was unsure if it was any good. I generally quote on seeing the office or premises and send over a quotation.
