Went for a walk to Ystradfellte - waterfall country in the Brecon Beacons - the one where you actually follow the path behind the waterfall as it pours over (past, not onto!) your head. Impressive!

Wor Lass and myself went for a meal round a squaddies house. His missis cooked a lovely meal, but every time I took a sip of wine, my glass was topped up.
Consequently and apparantly; Lee (a body-building squaddie) and myself both put on make up, painted our nails red and ran about the street in a womans thongs!
One of the last things I remember is Lee telling me that it's 'good to be able to get in touch with your feminine side'.
It's okay though, Wor Lass is talking to me now.

Went to my boat moored on Rudyard Lake, near Leek, on Sunday, and cleaned it up ready for sailing.
Duck muck everywhere and four inches of water slopping around the cockpit plus 12 little fluffy ducklings, [big aaah!!]
Mum duck was creating lots of fuss around the boat, so carefully scooped up her youngsters, all of whom were quite able to swim unaided, and put them over the side.
Went back yesterday to find Mum proudly parading her little ones around the moorings, much to the pleasure of all the weekend visitors and especially the children.
Oh yes, I nearly forgot, cleaned cabin windows in and out, but no tip forthcoming from the owner - tight s*d!

Sunday, me and the missus had a great lunch in town and did some aimless but enjoyable wandering around town. Spent the evening having a drink or two at a local pub.
Monday, got up late, had another yummie lunch in some place and spent the whole afternoon wandering along the beach front and watching all that was going on as Brighton comes to life about this time of year. There was a Mods and Rockers reunion along with the usual thing with Harley's etc. There were thousands of them.
During the evening we just chatted as we don't have a tv.
It was an easy mellow two days.
