Title: Google maps 'ghost' account.
Post by: Paul W Jones on June 26, 2009, 10:12:31 am
I read somewhere on here the other day that someone had got hold of a 'ghost' account for Google maps.  Simple question; how do you get hold of one?  For free advertising it's hard to beat but I was told by someone who works in advertising that Google are going to start charging for the ads some time this year.  He reckons a top spot could cost about £500.00 per year.

I think there are MANY unscrupulous businesses who will get multiple Googlemaps accounts via their friends and relatives or false addresses just to get up in the rankings.

IMO these peops are the ones sat in front of their computer with little work and more time desperate to find extra customers.

I know of two people in particular who  have multiple accounts in my area........shame on you  ;D

Google will catch up on this, I'm sure...
