I would set up a static tank mate.
just been looking at some ICB tanks £50  ;D
I'm looking at having it on all day then just nip back for lunch and fill the tank up, a transfer pump would fill that in about 3 minutes lol

You have to look at the dimensions, and the maximum payload for the van.
Maybe a 350-400litre tank. but thats just a guess.

They have a 600kgs carrying capacity. 400l will fit but with everything else you have to carry it will take you to the limit.

i have a 400 L in mine, it fits, though to be honest if you fill it any more than 3/4 full the van doesnt like it much

If it has a 600kg limit then you will have to take into account the following:

Driver 80kg
Fuel 50kg
Reel 8kg
DI 8kg
poles 4kg
tools 3kg
bucket of water 6kg
tank weight 20kg

Total = 179kg (with no passenger)

This leaves you a maximum of 421 litres carrying capacity.

Take the guesswork out of it - I always do it the other way round.  Some where on the vehicle will be a plate giving the Gross Vehicle Weight.  this is usually under the bonnet or inside the doorshut.

The GVW is the maximum the vehicle can legally weigh - obviously including all the equipment, fuel, driver etc  etc as Alex said.

Fit your van out, put everything in or on it that you will need including a full tank of fuel, take it to the nearest public weighbridge (in the phone book) and weigh it with you sitting in it.  The difference between the recorded weight and the GVW is how much water you can put in it.

FFC

I wouldn't mind a 250 litre tank, so if you want to get rid of it, you know I am working at the supermarket in your town. Will be there next week - let me know.
