I saw one being used on monday, I thought to myself that would be really good to have for all my terraced houses, saves all the pulling and tugging of the hose on my fixed reel. lol
Craig yes mate serious.
Plus when I look at taking someone on they can use that whilst I use the van mounted.

bought one about 3 weeks ago, the WCW one. Great little piece of kit. Have got about 10m of microbore attached to it, so can move about freely. Bit of a chore keep topping up, but for the sake of not going up ladders............sheer bliss. Will be using it until I can afford a van mount, and probs will still use it then.  ;D

Fieldsy how are you getting on with it?

Getting on great with it Matt. Originally had 10m of pole hose attached, but kept getting snagged and twisted, now cahnged to microbore with just a few feet of hosing from the pole. I leave the microbore attached to the backpack, and just connect the hose to the other end. When only doing fronts on some houses, I just leave it in the back of the van, and plenty of hose to move about. Lugging 25 litre containers about at the moment, so not ideal, but I'd rather be doing that than putting the ladder on and off every job every day. Can't remember last time I took the ladders off. Sheer bliss.

I have got a supalight brush attached and seems to do the business on everything. A back pack is probs not everyones cup of tea, but its certainly made the work load easier.  ;D

I'm looking at one as it is a pain in the rear pulling the hose out about 60metres and running around 3 houses just to get access to the rear of a terraced house.  :'(
I would just use the van mounted for the fronts on those type of houses and then throw on the back pack.  ;D

Got to be honest Matt, that is exactly what I would use it for if I'm able to get a van and van mount. Its obviously a pain when it runs out doing fronts and backs so ideally would like a van mount.................but for the backs its going to be ideal, stand it down the side way or round the back and the amount of water is plenty. Just done some first cleans that were absolutely filthy, so used loads of water and 25 litre containers.......lol............but all our old customers its a breeze and no where near using the same amount  ;D

....lol  Ideally I'd like a 1000 static tank in the garage and a 500 or 650 litre in a van, but I can only dream at the moment.........lol

Backpacks seem the way to go but read so many things on here about problems with switches and pumps so building my own using van mounted pump and an old backpack from machine mart so if there is a prob I can sort it myself and source parts locally ( exept pump)Hope to have finished by Tuesday then mounting on trolly from Lidls

I have used a backpack for 2 years and will continue to use it. However, I am using it less than I did. If I have a run of windows where I can sit it on the ground with an extension in it's great. Where I have to go into a lot of gardens with gates, washing lines etc it's not so great. It's heavy at the end of the day and hanks on everything going. . I am using ladders more again because of this. If I have a window that's dangerous, I use the backpack. Once you know you round, it can be quicker to trad that fight all the obstacles and fill a backpack every 15 mins or so.
