Is that a 11inch Vikan brush?
-
Put plyers/scissors in the gap, open them and turn should unscrew it

If pliers are not working, you may have to resort to drilling it out. Drill a channel down one side which will break the circle but will not affect the screw thread on the brush too much.
-
pour boiling water into it, or put the brush upside down sitting in a bowl of hot water, then very fast use plyiers to twist it out,
-
try a hacksaw blade down the middle and cut outwards until you cut through the plastic insert part and the should unscrew fine

Thanks for the replys guys .... wasnt sure what was best to do.
Have drilled it out with a 4mm bit. All sorted now (was bricking myself)
Thanks Alex

Why would he have to sit in a bowl of hot water to do it, surely if he just stood at the kitchen worktop, save getting his pants wet too. ;D

heat up and screw driver so it melts a little into the plastic and unscrew it ;)
