Title: Van insurance
Post by: Len Gribble on June 18, 2009, 07:30:30 pm
Got home this afternoon van insurance renewal on table £391.35 f/comp legal/window screen and breakdown cover been with them for about 10 years didn’t think that bad then wife reminded me how I got 70 quid off of her insurance done one search came back at £226.72 only difference I can see driving abroad cover excess is £200 more >:( no breakdown cover (not that I’m interested got personal cover) now the question should I stay with the one I know and help boost the economy or look for more cheaper quote?

Is your van a Range Rover Sport and you park it unlocked on Moss Side? That seems steep, what van have you actually got?

damn the economy Len, search the net for a better deal :)

I was with Commercial Vehicle Direct who were quite good but I got a postcard off A-Plan a while back targetted at TM owners.

So I dug it out and got a quote. £360 inc cover for TM and tools and breakdown cover, but I had to push for this using CVD quote as leverage.

What's the max psi you'd recommend Robert? I'd much rather use the Scrubba TBH as it is the dogs bits!

Gladiator are pretty good, got me good cover and nice price the last couple of years.  They all tend to grab you with a low price first time and then try to crank it on the second year, but if you poke them at renewal time they'll drop.

Listen to us, we all hate price shoppers calling us :D

I don’t mind price shopper’s a company tried to rip me off today so I contacted John Kelly what a bargain.

Colin

Only a Vito if you are on the look out for a wonder wand I will only tell the truth and nothing but the truth (well that all I’ve been hearing for the last 5days five more to-go) 8) :o ;)

So just remember, when you are wracking your brains for a USP and can't think for one, you can always resort to creating a character out of a fluffy animal.   ::)
