Ok i've screwed up I admit it !!!! :'( :'(Today I was cleaning a rug on what looked like a limestone floor, I was careful to wipe up any over spray as i went along the edge. but too my horror when i moved the rug the stone was alot lighter round the rug where i had overspray and really does stand out, in cleaning sollution i was using crystal Green from prochem.
I would be grateful for any advice.

Clean the rest of the hard floor? I'll leave it to you as to whether you charge for it or not!

May be not, it could be fading from u.v light.
How long has the rug sat in the same position?
Go back and check floor when completly dry.
Colin.

Hi Guys
Crystal Green and Limestone are both alkaline , so shouldn't be a problem there.
I too would not do anything until it was completely dry and any brighteners in the CG had worn off.
Cheers

and put a drop cloth under rugs where needed in future. ;)

And put the CG in the bin ;)

The rug normally belongs in another room so it can't be UV. Many thanks for your replys.

Ok i've screwed up I admit it !!!! :'
Back to the beginning. How hot was the solution? How strong did you mix the CG? This could have taken any varnished/protector coating off the tiles.
Does the area with over spray feel different to the un-sprayed areas?
