Title: Removing Finger Print Dusting Powder...?
Post by: J~C~S. on June 17, 2009, 05:17:50 pm
Does anyone know what will remove >>finger print dusting powder<< (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fingerprint_powder) used by the Police etc?

I've come across it before, and again today.

Nightmare to get it off, esp. WFP.

I tried Viakal, but made no difference, the only thing that worked a bit was good old scraper, but to do the whole window would've taken ages.

Does anyone know of any chemical/method that would remove it satisfactorily?

Cheerz guys and gals...   :)

We lost a job once because we couldn't get the stuff off.  The custy seemed to think we weren't trying >:(

I contacted the Police and asked them but they said they weren't interested in getting it off, only in putting it on ::)

I fininshed up telling the custy to re-glaze and he wasn't very pleased ;D ;D

I did one a few months ago and used Doktar Power with a non scratch sponge. Came up a treat.
