Hi, Anybody recomend any Eco-friendly, Bio-degradable chemicals for the Prochem Steampro that are also user friendly (non carsinogenic)?
My wife is buying a secondhand machine to get started on carpets and upholstery to earn some extra cash as Christmas is just around the corner. Only Joking!!.

Try M-Power from Solutions Cornwall or Nemesis Super from Restormate , Newcastle U Tyne way.
Both "very safe" and very economic.

or even just hot water,
I used just hot water on mine just to see the results, and looked pretty good ;D
they was not in bad nick though.

or DFC 210
There is quiet a lot out on the market now, just started you off with M-Power or Nemesis as they are very economic and useful in lots of areas of cleaning, but those with blinkers on wont understand that.

You'd be surprised how much hard work goes into window cleaning.

No I wouldn't. ;)

Clearly I'm missing something here?
I see you're based in Scotland so a licence to trade in window cleaning will be the first thing you'll need.
-
My brother-in-law has a window cleaning business.
You were missing the point that window cleaners seem to be taking up carpet cleaning, and I said we should take up window cleaning in Jest!
-
Thanks for clearing that up.
The beuti of having window cleaning customers is that (in my case) we have 500 potential carpet cleaning customers who in effect 'pay us' each month to advertise our carpet cleaning to them. ;D
Think about it.....it makes sense ;)

Like he said, maybe we should take up window cleaning, then we get the free marketing as well 8)

Neil speaks sense but if you have a full order book per van or cleaner you will find that a carpet cleaner earns more, the beauty of window cleaning businesses are that they have customers all year round and most carpet cleaners don't!
IMO I wish I had gone into window cleaning as I think it's a great business to build and reasonably easy to get new customers, there may be a limit to what customers ma spend but I believe because of the flexibilty of the work you can employ staff quite easily.

Brilliant!!

In 20 years never spent a penny on advertising for window cleaning the money is good and your gauranteed the same wage all year round.Carpet cleaning is far easier but with a lot lot more overheads but you make a lot more money per hour.

I have a £700 round that keeps me going when things are quiet, sometimes it's carpets in
the morning windows in the afternoon.
Nearly ditched last year when carpet cleaning side was busy but boy am I glad I kept it on
this year.
