in this pic, can anyone tell me which port is inlet/outlet/waste

in this one, can anyone tell me what this canister is, what i am meant to do with it, and do i need it?!

Inlet is the larger half inch white elbow connector. Outlet is the 3/8" blue elbow and waste is 3/8" black connector. The tank is a flush tank which primes the membranes on start up with pure water, helps them last slightly longer. Not really needed, but useful.

I would have it standing upright m8, if you want it out the way then in the far right side next to cage if it will fit there  ;) then run hoses round tank frame, on it side would take up more room and also easier to damage  ;)

The Merlin unit can be laid on its side if needed.
