Title: Trolley System
Post by: Platinum NW on June 12, 2009, 08:30:09 am
I seen a guy out today on one of my new estates working out of the back of a brand new ford focus using a trolley system

Dont know about you but i thought they were antiques
If hes got the money i would prefare the tank/van method myself

The car was probably on mobility anyway

There are many levels to standard of business practise.

There is no "one fits all" for window cleaning.

Do marks and spencer call iceland cowboys for being cheaper and less appealing?

Nothing wrong with a trolley like there is nothing wrong with a guy that cleans windows with just a scrim...if the end results satisfy the customer ...jobs a good'n..

We are window cleaners...lets not pretend to be anything other than what we are...human beings.....Whoever this guy is he's out and working and paying bills...good for him.

Dave.

Probably not because they went broke didn't they?   ;D

I've no problem with someone's work method.  I only have a problem if someone goes around undercutting me by cheating the system that I pay into.

Hi Dave,

The first couple of weeks out with the car and trailer i was cursing it left and right, but once you get used to the reversing its really quite easy. in my situation it was the perfect solution. altough saying all that im inthe process of looking for a van to swap too!!

Here here. I use  diy trolley system out the back of my estate. I can  connect it all up in the boot and run it from there or i usually have it on the trolley. It's great!

Sick of people dismissing trolleys!
I have a successful little business running a trolley system. No massive lengths of hoses to wind and unwind and trip over and snag. Easy to use, access never a problem, and my customers LOVE it.
Why do i need to spend £1000s when for £100s I can do exactly the same job?

This is my getup... I find it pretty cosy. I love working from my car. It's dead easy. Only takes 30 secs to put trolley together or i can connect it in the car with 100 metres of reel.
