Title: IICRC courses

I have just been on their website and was looking at the stone and masonary cleaning course and notice Andy from Ltt does the leather courses does that include teh ones at Harrogate?

Can't comment on the leather course - but I have just done the IICRC stone and masonary course at Alltec with Keith Robertson, very educational and extremely involved.

Two different things I believe. In taking the leather course for the IICRC Andy has to present the course in accordance with what the IICRC require. IICRC courses are very biased towards theory - less so practical. The courses at Harrogate are very hands on and are not run under the IICRC banner. I did day 3 of the hard floor course run by Keith and found the hands on aspect very useful. Hope that helps Shaun.

I did the first IICRC leather technician course at LTT a couple of years ago.Andy was a tutor and a guy from Hydramaster US (forgot his name ) but he had just been down to the summer Hydramaster party/barby.
It is very much theory .I did the exam etc but didnt renew IICRC membership after first year.
I would say refresher days at LTT are more useful as they can be directed at what you want to learn and are more practical/hands on.

The IICRC courses are much more geared towards theory and have a multiple choice exam attached to them (optional).  Andy has developed the LCT course and it is now much more hands on than it was.  A lot of cleaners do like to have the certification that this course offers.

The next IICRC (LCT) course is on 3rd - 4th September 2009 in Harrogate.  The cost is £195.00 + VAT and includes a manual.  We have a few spaces left if anyone is interested.  The exam is charged extra if you want to take it.

I know we are on an open forum but how much is the exam? I need to keep my credits up and I'd prefer to do something I like ie leather also the hardfloor one is top of the list also but I need to get clued up on that first so I'm going to Mick Gaytons gathering in Dingle country.

Exam fees are set by IICRC - usually £ 40

Just looked on the IICRC site and they are $50 which is about £30 ish.
