Thought would see how long some of you lot have been trading, and how many customers you have!!!!
I'll start of...I'm in my 4th year and have 333 (4 weekly) customers. Just had a cull, so sacked loads and now have good customers, looking to get to 450 end of this year.
THIS IS NOT A THREAD WANTING TO KNOW EARNINGS SO PLEASE NO ONE ASK WHATS YOUR AVERAGE, MINIMUM ETC ETC ETC. THANKS

14 years and about 400 customers
Over the years i have sold or dumped more than double that

The sheer amount means nothing to me or anyone who`s been in this game a long time,it`s quality that counts.Forget the numbers think quality.

i think in the first years the quantity is very important,as long as it work and money are coming ,but i think after the 4th,5th year the quality is the most important as you''ll have from where to choose.thanks

5.5 years, haven't a clue without going through my paperwork, I've never counted them. They just keep rolling in & the money & lifestyle are both very pleasing. I have culled most of my crap but have the odd one or two still for loyalty reasons. ;)
-
11 years and no idea how many customers ive got but for the past 9 years ive only worked 3 days a week....just the way i like it always get work done, work to live and all that.
-
6.5 years just over 2000 customers ranging from 4-12 weekly domestic and weekly to once a year commercial.

Right, there's 14 of us livin' in a shoe box in middle of T' road. I get up 10 minutes before I go to bed, eat a handful of hot gravel, THEN work a 34 hour shift, AND pay my custies for the pleasure of workin'. And when you tell that t' young people of today, they won't believe you.

1 year next monday ;D and 140 customers. im a student so only doing it part time but as im studying construction engineering i think il have a far better job prospect/ lifestyle cleaning windows than being an engineer when im finished studying so always trying to add more customers!!!
-
about 2,5 years and 214 customers....this gives between 20 - 27 days work every 8 weeks...have the last 6 working days off each 8 weekly cycle...plenty of room for growth and around 10% of these will be culled ...come judgement day!!.
most of these customers are 8 weekly with around 12 that are 12 weekly.
Not so much how many but how good they are with respect to time/effort...cash.
Cheers
Dave.

How did you go about getting customers so quickly mate, purely canvassing and leafletting?I've been started just a bit longer than that and don't have anywhere near so many.
-
18 years and 236 customers currently - nearly all 6 weekly (a few of the larger ones are 12 weekly).
I do a bit of subcontract on top of that and I have some commercial work too.
I've gone the low hassle route rather than the high earning one - though I do have some very nice jobs in that total. There are very few jobs in that total where I need to pre-arrange a visit. It makes it a lot easier to manage. I also ()currently) prefer to do without the hassle of employing people. That may change one day.

4 1/2 years and 185 Residentials and 28 Commercials, I let things slide badly 2 years ago when I went through a divorce.
plus I didnt want the ex to take half my business (which her solicitor wanted her to do) so at that time just let it all go until after the divorce then started back up again.
