i own two trollies stystems one from pure freedom and the other a chinese one-both good but have their own nigly things about them,in a perfect world what would be the perfect trolly?would it have some hose attached?-if so how much, how big would be the water butt, etc etc your input .my biggest bugbear is the freedom trolly where the waterbutt keeps falling off on uneven ground, not having any spare hose so have to drag it everywhere ,anyone reccomend a better one?

I've used a mark1 freedom trolley alongside a van mount for 3 years. The barrel doesn't fall out the mark 1 very easy compared to the mark 2.
The downside is it is a bit unwieldy when lifting in and out. I had a raised hip for a long time (which wasn't spotted by nhs physio :o) due to my technique. Started using my van mount instead and pain went after a week or so.
I think the mark 2 and others like it are as good as they get at the moment. Apart from the barrel falling out. ;D
I found the best trolley set up was to have a main watertank with a 12V subersible pump inside. A single barrel and an extra 10 metres of pole hose.
I used the trolley exclusively for the 1st 18 months and i got it down to a fine art regarding speed and water economy.

do you still use it now mark?or are you permantly van mounted?-i think i went the "other way" so to speak found the trolly easier than using the hose-getting it caught around plant pots/car tryes etc but found the trolly still wanting some mods to make it easier to use-just wondered if anyone has made the whole "experience"easier

I use the trolley on a couple of jobs where it is easier to get out than threading microbore around a maze of flowers and other delicate stuff.
But i use the van mount mainly now.
I started with wfp with a trolley and a van mount and initially used the van mount, but i went with the trolley cos i was knocking over and breaking too much stuff.

mark if you could/would change anything on the trolly what would it be?

Weight.

weight as in pulling the thing around or just lifting it in and out of the van?

both. Just the weight.
