Hi
I have cleaned UPVC with Brillo degreaser for over 5 years and always come up great and at 312 for 5 ltrs it's as cheap as chips (or even cheaper).

does that have an abrasive material in it?
-
I use magic sponges and APC from World Of Clean

Hi
No, it is a powerful degreaser, it gets rid of smoke stains, grease and protein based staining, dilute down, spray on and watch it melt the stains in front of your eyes, leaving it to dwell for a few seconds allows the chemical to do the work for you, same effect on doors, spray, wait and just wipe off.

Is that any good on cookers?
-
Hi Joe
It's great on all surfaces I use it in EOT's as my main solution.
I always use it on greasy hobs, extractors and the tiles and units around the cooker, it really is great stuff especially when the tenants have been heavy smokers

where do you get this stuff from ?
-
There's a guy on ebay selling a franchise on the cleaning of upvc and especially conservatories I'll see if I can find it, but if I had someone cleaning mine I would expect the white to come back what are the limitations?

Hi
You should be able to get Brillo degreaser at any janitorial supplier.

How much do you charge for a service like this?
-
I used to charge £75 for a bog standard 3 bed semi, just the windows and doors.

Hmmmm interesting, how long did it take you to do them?

Hi
Another solution i am have great results from is Biological washing liquid, either neat or diluted into a spray bottle, great on grease and nicotine and protein stains.
Biological liquid contains enzymes that break down proteins and other organic stains, stripped a greasy hob a couple of days ago, saved me loads of time scrubbing, i put it on neat and whizzed through it, very impressed.

Averaged about 2.5 hours.
Friend of mine fits upvc doors and windows for a firm and
he gets me the stuff they use for free.
Get a lot of people saying "how much" but then I live in Yorkshire
and most of them want it done for a chicken and a bag of salt!!!
Seriously though some want it done for like £25.
Don't really like doing it but if I'm asked I will.
Try car wax on the sills afterwards.
