Payment terms ?

How often are they to be cleaned ?

Are there any other units close by ?

How far have you got to travel ?

Then can start to work out the price.

I bet you're rushed off your feet with work. Nothing springs to mind like a busy fool charging extremely low prices. Unbelievable. No wonder new window cleaners are driving down prices here in the south west. They lack confidence or are too foolish to ask a decent price.

New window cleaner  ??? ??? ???

I've been in business since 1992.

I earn enough to give my family and I a very comfortable living with no money worries, a couple of foreign holidays a year, a nice home and money to spare  ;D.

Who the hell are you to say I lack confidence when you've never even met me  ??? ??? ???

Until I pop up to east Devon and try to advise you how to run your business you just concentrate on what you do and I'll do the same in Plymouth  >:(.

Maybe I should pop up there afterall and undercut all your prices eh; it probably wouldn't be too difficult as you'd be on here giving the benefit of your brilliance to anyone who'd listen ::) ::) ::)

You post on here how much you would charge for some work that someone posted on this site. I gave my honest opinion on your pricing. Very underpriced for commercial work in my opinion. That's all it is....my opinion. If you can't handle the constructive critism objectively and feel the need to threaten me personally, do me a favour and don't reply to my comment. If you can't handle constructive critiscism, don't dish it out.

Too many window cleaners around here are charging such stupidly low prices on commercial work that it's beyond a joke and not worth bothering to give quotes just to ensure work on a 12 month contract basis. Better off just picking up reliable domestic work instead.

£400`s is more like it i would never do it for some of the prices quoted above i would be working at a loss as other work would be waiting, the inside of that building would take 5-6 times longer me thinks.

Oooh , lets not get fisty , i too am in plymouth , and that kind of pricing from MLS is about right , they dont pay big money down here , you can get it but you would need to be lucky .
Just as an example , a while ago i was asked to quote a job and i was in the running with about 3 of plymouths biggest firms , i was the most expensive , and i went in cheaper than i should have , but i got the job , why i hear you say ?
It all came down to the fact that i came across better than the other chaps , they tended to drop how much is your cheapest price and we will beat it , its for some reason in the south west its quantity not price .

P & F,
don't take this the wrong way....

I know prices are very low here in the south west on commercial work (especially the further south you go) owing to expected low tenders. If the prices are that low, surely you would be better concentrating on domestic work instead at a better price (for more profit for the same amount of time spent) rather than trying to obtain commercial work priced low in comparison.

I use to be a busy fool traditional w/c but learned from my mistakes quickly when converting over to wfp not to put all my eggs in one basket, different types of work, different areas and not to underprice just for the sake of obtaining work.

No disrespect intended to any of you lads in Plymouth.

£300 for 3 days is low for that type of work. The problem with a 3 day contract is that you end up working all day. With domestic you get more money for less physical work. Your initial price of £425 was better.

In future if they barter with you rather than JUST reducing the price, reduce some of the workload as well.

Windows washed , im not taking it the wrong way chap , personaly i like to have a mix of work , makes it less mundane , you get good , you get bad , for instance this past week i have been more than busy on work such as this , and i might add that it is so ludicrously high priced you might poop your pants !   ;D ;D
