Well done Ian...too many of my family have died of this cursed disease...delighted to be able to help!
Very good cause - my wife did her race for life today. If you think your hard - try reading the stickers on the ladies backs which give details of why they are running. I can't read them any more it's too sad. :-\Writting this post had me in tears, I am dreading going to the race in July will be a sad day, but also an honour. I am well Proud of the support I have had from the uk forums so far you all know who you are, good on you,
Mr FormbyNo pressure if people what to help they can if they dont thats also fine, have to say there are some very kind people on the forums.
It doesnt matter how many people were online, there should be absolutely no pressure or cohersion for people to give.
People give or dont give for there own particular reasons and nobody should sit in judgement of that.
For posts like this to work there should be absolutely no pressure on anyone whatsoever.
ian, as you know i got wind of this on acs forums, and at that time (yesterday afternoon) the amount collected so far was roughly 150 quid, now you are at 3/4 of the your target.....what amazes me is the amount of goodwill on all the window cleaning forums, i didnt realise just how many guys have been touched in their own personal lives with this terrible disease and i wish everyone on this and the other forums all the best with the fund raising efforts for your charity for the benefit of others.Thank you for you help, and thank you for the email you sent to your members.

I think it does, this forum is supposed to help each other . Even if they only donated £1 it would all help
Ian ,Thanks Darren,
good luck to your wife on the run, cancer reasearch is the only charity i give a regular donation to. I can understand how you all feel i lost my mum to cancer at the age of 14 (few tears now).
My wife done the playtex moonwalk marathon 2 years ago, 26 miles in pink bra middle of the night in London along with 5000 other girls in bras, she sleep for 2 days after this but she raised Just under £2200, which was worth the pain.
I went to all my customers and gave them note and sponsor sheet to them, i would say 90% donated, maybe you should do this to
Good luck
Darren
Hi Ian, it was good to talk to you the other day. It's great to see what you and your wife are doing. It's a moving story and I'm sorry for your loss. But doing something positive like this is the finest way to deal with it.Thanks Sean,
Of course I'll donate something, all the best to you and your family.
Kind regards

Well done IanThank you Mac and everyone thats donated, also the ones that have read and just reflected on this.
Along with summer, your words, courage & efforts have touched the hearts of many.
Keep up the good work everyone. ;)
good luck with reaching your target, it's a horrible evil disease. That you for your donation and to everyone, the target is beat now and still growing :D. :D :D
Up untill a couple of days ago this was just another story that didnt really mean anything to me i know that might sound harsh or uncaring and i dont mean any offence by itI'm so sorry to hear that, is horibble news, it does not sound harsh at all and I know many people feel the same, if they had seem it first hand they would totally think in a different way, watching my neice dying was torture.
But we have just found out that my mum has stomach cancer and yesterday she went in for her op to have part of it taken away unfortunately the cancer was worse than they anticipated and her whole stomach was infected so they took the decision to leave it as it would not improve her quality of life she cannot eat or drink ever again and has less than 6 months to live
She has always been there for anyone shes a real people person and even when i was sobbing like a baby she was the one making sure i was okay
It seems cancer is in our family from her dads side with her two sisters and a niece having died with it
I am still feeling quite numb about it at the moment
Hope my small donation can help in some way
Thanks Ian your kind words have set me offYour welcome Dean and sorry for setting you off.
Being strong is easier said than done i am a six foot tall big bloke and im the one doing the most crying and mopeing
Thanks again
